We are pleased to announce that the Personiv Coimbatore team has earned yet another award! On October 17, The Institute for Competitiveness, in conjunction with the Times Network of India presented Personiv Coimbatore with the Strategy Award. Frederick Johns — Executive Vice President and Site Head, Coimbatore, accepted the award on behalf of his team. He was joined by CEO David Lesniak onstage during the 2019 Porter Prize Awards Ceremony.
The accolade, which is awarded to select companies who have been shortlisted for the Porter Prize and awarded by the same governing body — The Institute of Competitiveness (IFC) — seeks to recognize companies who stand out in their efforts to shape their respective industry and "alter the basis of competition".
For Personiv, that means a recognition of the company's community service efforts in Coimbatore and beyond, which have included:

Donations to natural disaster relief efforts in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Chennai.

Social health initiatives that have included blood drives and awareness campaigns.

Providing local schools with valuable resources, books and training.

Personiv's annual gift of solar power to a deserving congregate care facility in the community.

A core dedication within the company to provide equal opportunity employment in each of the communities it works in.

Strategy Award
Johns was joined onstage by Personiv's CEO, David Lesniak. "Giving back to the communities we work and live is a privilege we don't take for granted. It's woven into the culture of Personiv and I'm proud of the efforts our people enthusiastically undertake in the name of 'Being Human'," said Lesniak of the honor.
The Institute for Competitiveness in India is an initiative dedicated to understanding and disseminating the body of research and knowledge on competition and strategy compiled over the last 25 years by Professor Michael Porter, for whom the Porter Prize is named after.
