We are pleased to announce that our Coimbatore site – along with Executive Vice President and Site Head Fredericks John – have been recognized once again for their unique corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. As representatives of Personiv in Coimbatore, the team there works tirelessly to invest back into the community they live and work in – a key tenant of Personiv's culture and one of the many ways our company strives toward #BeingHuman.

A panel of judges made up of business leaders, educational advocates and civil servants –representing multiple nationalities in South Asia and abroad – evaluated the initiatives and results of companies across sixteen award categories, including CSR.
Then, during the South Asian Business Partnership Summit (SAPS)'s Business Excellence Awards and Gala Dinner on November 14 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, that same cohort awarded Personiv with the Excellence Award for "Best use of CSR Practice in Community Development." Some of Personiv's community development initiatives in Coimbatore include, but are hardly limited to:

Donations to natural disaster relief efforts in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Chennai

Social health initiatives that have included blood drives and awareness campaigns

Providing local schools with valuable resources, books and training, and;

Personiv's annual gift of solar power to a deserving congregate care facility in the community.
Additionally, Fredericks John – Personiv's Coimbatore-based EVP and Site Head – was recognized individually for " Outstanding CSR Leadership of the Year".
Impact Sourcing Efforts
John participates at a ground level as a volunteer alongside his team and is a familiar face at Personiv's annual 'Trek for a Cause'. Besides offering his time, talents and labor to deserving entities in Coimbatore, John also founded a Rotaract club within Personiv at the Coimbatore site to ensure he can continue to do so in perpetuity.
This accolade was awarded by His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka, Mr. Maithripala Sirisena.

Said John of the award, " It was truly a 'Personiv Proud' moment for me: having the privilege of representing Personiv at the South Asian Partnership Summit in Colombo. I was humbled at both the opportunity to showcase my team's dedication to the community and receive the award from the President of Sri Lanka himself. We owe much to the communities we love and call home, and that's what our 'Being Human' initiative is all about. I am so proud of the many hands of Personiv that selflessly dedicate their time and labor – all over the world – simply because it is the right thing to do."
This award is the twelfth time in 2019 that Personiv has been recognized for its innovations, initiatives and leadership in Coimbatore. Congratulations to all!
