On July 14, 2018, Personiv Coimbatore visited ‘The Home for the Aged’ run by The Little Sisters of the Poor, at Balaclava, Coonoor, Nilgiris District as part of the CSR activity in connection with the Personiv Run Proud Extra Mile Challenge.

Giving Back at Home for the Aged

The sisters requested the Coimbatore team to repair their existing plumbing fixtures that had started leaking and seeping through the walls. The team was able to provide Rs. 158,164 worth of plumbing and electrical material and also share part of the labor charges to the tune of Rs. 100,000.

They also shared lunch with the aged inmates at the Home for the Aged through our Employee Social Responsibility program. Many residents were in need of company and were happy that our team members could spend some quality time with them.

“A touching moment in our lives. It was also a lesson for us to care for our parents who have endured a lot to bring us up, during their old age,” said Fred John, EVP & Site Head – Personiv Coimbatore.
